6. Market structure practice lab
Time to practise. No new theory in this chapter – only games, charts and questions. Take your time.
6.1 Round 1 – Trend or range?
6.2 Round 2 – Has the structure broken?
6.3 Round 3 – Read the labels
The labels show lower highs and lower lows for most of the chart – a downtrend.
A higher low followed by a break above the last lower high is a bullish change of character. A new uptrend may be starting – confirm with the next higher low.
The most recent higher low is the buyers’ line. If price closes below it, your reason for the trade is gone.
6.4 Homework – the 10-chart routine
Open any free charting platform. Pick 10 different stocks or indices. For each one, on the daily chart:
- Mark the major swing highs and lows.
- Label them HH, HL, LH, LL.
- Write one word: Up, Down or Range.
- Mark the line in the sand (the last HL in an uptrend, the last LH in a downtrend).
Do this for 10 days. It takes 15 minutes a day. By the end, you will read structure in seconds.
Iss lab ko dobara khelna – kal, parson, next week. Games mein har baar naye charts aate hain. Repetition se aankh train hoti hai. And when you finish this module, share your certificate – you have learned something most traders never learn properly.
- Structure reading is a skill built by repetition, not by reading.
- Always find the line in the sand: last HL in uptrends, last LH in downtrends.
- A higher low followed by a break of the last lower high signals a possible turn up.
- Practise the 10-chart routine daily for two weeks.
- Ek line mein: Structure padhna practice se aata hai – roz das charts, do hafte, aur aankh khud train ho jaayegi.
