India Chart School

1. Start here – a chart can look confusing, and that is normal

Green candles, red candles, moving numbers, words like breakout, liquidity and momentum. If a chart still feels confusing sometimes – that is completely normal. Nobody is born knowing how to read a chart. It is a skill, and skills become easy when they are explained slowly and practised properly.

1.1 What is price action?

Price action means reading the chart using price itself – candles, swings, levels – instead of depending on indicators.

Indicators are calculated from price. So they always come a little late. Price action tries to read the source directly: what are buyers and sellers doing right now, and who is winning?

You already have the building blocks:

  • Candles (Module 2) – the story of each period.
  • Support and resistance (Module 2) – where the fights happen.
  • Market structure (Module 3) – who is in control over time.

This module joins them into one way of thinking.

1.2 Your goal in this module

Open a clean chart and understand what price is trying to tell you – without complicated jargon.

By the end, you should be able to look at any chart and answer four questions in under a minute:

  1. What is the context? Trend, range, near a level or not?
  2. Who is in control? Buyers, sellers, or nobody?
  3. Where are the odds better? Which spot gives good reward for the risk?
  4. Where am I wrong? The exact price that kills my idea.
Learning to drive

On your first day of driving, you think about everything – clutch, gear, mirror, indicator, brake. It feels impossible. A few weeks later, you drive and talk at the same time. The steps did not disappear – they became automatic.

Price action is the same. In the beginning you will go slowly, question by question. With practice, you will read a chart in seconds.

No crystal balls here

Price action does not predict the future. It helps you find situations where the odds are better than random, and gives you a clear exit if you are wrong. That is all a good trader needs.

From Karan

Is module ko jaldi mat padhna. One chapter a day, and play the practice lab at the end again and again. Ye module mera favourite hai – because once you get it, you will never need ten indicators on a chart again.

Quick check
What does price action trading mainly use?

  • It is about better odds and clear exits, not prediction.
  • Ek line mein: Price action matlab chart ko seedha padhna – context, control, odds aur aap kahan galat ho.
